It's been a minute! I had gone on vacation last week, and because of that I was unable to do any bugtunez type stuff while I was gone. Now that I'm back though, we can get right back on it!
This is a very interesting one, more ethereal and such. Post-rock type shit babeyyyy! This is He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms... Though we'll just. Shorten that to He Has Left Us Alone. That's a lot less of a mouthful for this LMAO
I listened to this while I was walking around in town, having drank some Kava, Kanna and THC today. It was a great time for sure but now, with a lot of self improvement and such I've been doing for my mental health over the last few weeks, it was basically a transidential time. I love A Silver Mt. Zion so fucking much, man. Hearing Movie (Never Made) and For Wanda while walking around town just gets you right in the heart. The former feels relevant in this day and age, with the emotions many are feeling with the world as it is. Please, if you do anything today, give this one a listen.
For those who don't know, actually, A Silver Mt. Zion is a side project to Godspeed You! Black Emperor, made during the breaks the band had during touring. The whole thing came because of the guitarist, Efrim Menuck, whose's dog passed away during GS!BE's tour. He created this while immersed with a jewish community that was in Montreal, which definitely adds to the whole religious experience you feel through this album.
ABSOLUTELY Give this a listen, ya'll.
Favorite Song: Movie (Never Made)
Favorite Lyric: I know that you're dying, and I know I'm unwell, and together we sashay, through variations of hell.
