BUGTUNEZ

A long, long, LONG time ago, a younger BUGHOLDER'S EPIPHANY, then a mere blind thing that had a small idea of the world, was listening to video game music incessantly, often by listening to music videos or trailers. Why? Fuck if I know. However, one day, I stumbled upon the trailer for Protoype 2:

I know nothing about this game, or the prequel. All i knew is that I heard this when I was young and it stuck out to me. I would later find out it was the song "Hurt" by Johnny Cash, a cover of the Nine Inch Nails song.

I would end up listening to a couple more Johnny Cash songs, and I would share what I found to my mom and my grandmother, and next thing I know, I get this CD from my grandmother for my birthday:

So needless to say, this holds a lot of memories for me. I would listen to this album frequently, mostly due to the fact that I didn't have any other CDs haha, but I loved it, I loved the music.

This is a whole compilation of Johnny Cash's discography ranging from early in his career to the end of it, consisting of his various hits throughout it. Highlights for me on this 21-track album has to be Folsom Prison Blues, A Boy Named Sue, Man In Black, One Piece At A Time, Highwayman, Rusty Cage, and of course, Hurt.

Speaking of One Piece At A Time, I got curious about if anyone's built the car from this song, and sure enough:

Credit to Atlas Obscura for this picture

Gifted to Johnny Cash himself apparently. Imagine walking down to road and seeing Johnny Cash riding this car. Musta been a sight.

Favorite Song: Hurt

Favorite Lyric: If I could start again, a million miles away, I would keep myself, I would find a way.
