Being a long-time Metroid fan, I've had a fair amount of headcanons and thoughts about Metroid, and as such, I think it'd be fun to share some of my headcanons with the world at large! Needless to say, NONE OF THIS IS CANON STUFF. I just like to have funny thoughts about this fun search action series.

This will occasionally be updated with anything else I think of!

THERE MAY BE SPOILERS UP AHEAD, BE WARNED

Mass Production Suits

(yes technically this is something from Smash Bros based off of the source of inspiration for the green-colored suit by Sakurai but I still find it cool to think about)

The Galactic Federation, much like the Space Pirates, have attempted to recreate Samus Aran's power suit. While it hasn't been as disasterous as their attempts, the creation of the suits have been slow due to the complexity of Chozo technology.

The following pieces of media are canon:

  • The Metroid Manga
  • Samus & Joey
  • Metroid Prime: Episode Of Aether

Metroid Suit from the end of Dread is still real.

Self explanatory. Samus can only really get it when she goes absolutely fucking feral apeshit on someone. I imagine something kinda like the P.E.D. Suit from Metroid Prime 3, only a lot more "I am going to murder you so hard that there will be no remains"-type vibes going on.

Metroid, F-Zero, and Star-fox all take place in the same universe.

All three of the sci-fi series from Metroid are in a shared universe.

The Lylat system in Star-Fox is a bit out there compared to the star systems seen in Metroid, and the only real similarity F-Zero and Metroid have is that they both have a "Galactic Federation" of sorts, but it could happen-- Especially if you take the later to be how Samus sees it from the military end of things while F-Zero is more from a racer's view of things (and they both have Bounty Hunters, ofc).

As for Star-Fox and F-Zero, there are apparently a ton of connections between the two, such as a few species seen in one appearing in the other and vice versa, one of the endings of Star Fox Command showing a F-Zero lookalike in it, and so forth. I like to think they're all a shared universe.
